What is BHMS
If you are interested to start your career as healthcare practitioner other than field of allopathy, you can opt for BHMS
BHMS is a bachelor of Homeopathy Medicine and Surgery. This course is of 4 1/2 years duration +1 years internship = 5.5 years
admission criteria is as same for MBBS but easier to get admission
After doing BHMS you can go for MD or can start your pratice as homeopath consultant or in simple term homeopath doctor. Many people after doing BHMS actually start allopathy practice which is technically not good and llowed but gives you legal immunity at some extent.
Today, Department of Ayush, Govt of India is doing lot of advertisement to create awareness about homeopathy which is definitely a good move.
Further, today there are chain of homeopathy doctors such as Dr. Batra's clinic so you can start a job also
Other option is you can start your career in clinical research as clinical research assistant or coordinator too.
